Daniel Haworth from Matlock Athletic Club is the winner of the Dovedale Dash 2023 in a fast time of 27 mins and 4 secs. Dan also won the Dash in 2018. Dan wins the Izaak Walton Shield. Second is Greg Hopkinson also from Matlock Athletic Club, winning the Dog and Partridge Tankard (28:39).
First Lady home is Abbie Pearse from Steel City Striders RC in a time of
32 mins and 19 seconds winning the Peveril of the Peak cup. Jane Potter from
Charnwood AC was second lady in 35:46 mins winning the Cyril Challinor Shield.
​First Under 18 boy is Alex Taylor from Halesowen A&CC in a
time of 31 mins and 58 secs. Alex wins the Ian Hall Cup. Second is
Joseph Young from Derby AC (33:08). First Under 18 girl is Connie Jenneson
from Buxton AC in 36 mins and 20 secs. She wins the Avanti Jewellers cup.
Second Under 18 girl is Molly Busfield from Ashbourne RC (40:21).
First Under 14 boy is Joel Tidmarsh from Buxton AC in a time of 37 mins and 25 secs. Joel wins the Mart Cup. Second is Oscar Catan (38:33). B Morley from Charnwood AC was the first under 14 girl in a time of 39 mins and 17 secs. She wins the Hillcrest cup. Second was Mia Hearson from Newcastle Tri Club (39:33).
The Under 18s and Under 14s did again really well this year! Well done !
First male over 60 and winner of the Dorris Allen Salver is Mark Jelley from Wreake Runners in a time of 39 mins and 40 secs. First female over 60 is Linda New from Winston Phoenix RC in 45 mins and 14 secs.
First local Thorpe lady home and winner of the Matthew Parris Cup is Ellie Barber in a time of 45 mins and 46 secs. First Thorpe man home and winner of the Bluebell Cup is Chris Gunn in a time of 38 mins and 31 seconds. Well done!

The children's race had 51 children. The under 9's children's race winner and third overall was Jack Frith in 11 mins and 20 secs. Rose Cartwright was the first Under 9's girl in 12 mins and 40 secs. The Under 12's race was won by Isaac Ryder in 10 mins and 20 sec. First Under 12 girl was Elsa Goddard in 12 mins and 5 secs.
